Anti-Bedbug Treatment : How To Get Rid Of Them ?

Bedbug attacks are on the increase. Transported with travellers' luggage, they bite during the night and provoke severe itching. During the day, bedbugs remain hidden and are very difficult to drive out from cover. To get rid of them, Valmour recommends  shock action (1) and a long term treatment (2):

1 - We recommend a shock treatment with one of the following 3 products :
- Smoke Insecticide SUPERTOX : active smoke after lighting a wick, treatment for approx. 60 m2.
- Fumigator Insecticide PROFYR : fog without combustion, treatment for 40 m2.
- Auto-Destroyer ORKA :  single use spray, treatment for 40 - 80 m2.

Choose according to the surface to be treated. These three treatments are radical on all bedbugs which get touched by the product, and leave a residue when redepositing which allows effectiveness in time. Remove your sheets before the treatment and wash them at 60 °C.

2 - However, it is recommended to complete the treatment with NOXIDE Bedbugs Vaporizer. This treatment is essential because complementary to the spray or the smoke treatments by allowing to perfectly treat the floors and the bedding. . Its liquid formula is adapted to the treatment of floors or carpets where bedbugs hide during the day. Average use approx. 20 m2/litre.
Insist on treating the areas where they hide:
- plinths, floorboards, carpeting...
- backs of pictures on the wall,
- bedding : turn over your mattresses and treat them on both sides, take the slats of your slatted bed base off to vaporize these bases (where bedbugs frequently hide)

For professionals or if you need to treat important surfaces, replace with NOXIDE Concentrate. Diluted in 4,5 litres of water, you will obtain 5 litres of an extra powerful ready to use insecticide which can be applied easily with a Duster 2 liters, 5 liters or 16 liters below. Average use approx. 20 m²/liter.

3 - Precautions: To increase the efficiency of the treatment from the beginning, we recommend to attach Pelton Sticky Tape around your bed, a paper tape covered with very strong glue, which will irremediably trap any bedbug wanting to acces your bed. To be fixed to the floor, the walls and/or the legs of your bed to create an impassable barrier for the insects. Remove the tape after a few days, after several chemical sprayings.

Remarks:
- It is necessary to repeat the spray treatment after a few days to eliminate any bedbugs which might have escaped the previous treatment.
- To eliminate any stains on your sheets caused by bedbugs without needing to wash them every day,, use the Special Textile Cleaner below, which can be applied pure or diluted.
- Protect your suitcases  with the Protective Clingwrap below before you check them in for transport in the bagage hold, after spraying them with the NOXIDE C+ Bedbugs Liquid Spray.
