To begin with, make sure that your leather is clean and that all traces of grease have been eliminated, by using Cleaning Regenerating Soap AVEL (like washing your hands before applying a cream). Avoid the use of Marseille Soap because of its high caustic soda content, to the contrary of the Cleaning Regenerating Soap which has been developed  specifically for leather care with the participation of the Technical Center for Leather. If necessary, eliminate sebum with the help of  Stain Remover HUSSARD Spray Leather and Textile.

Afterwards, Valmour proposes several products based on mink oil and beeswax, to prolong the life of your leather by protecting it against dryness. These products renovate the leather by nourishing it, eliminate scratches and help prevent tearing of stitches and the toughening of leather. Some of the products also have light re-colouring power.

Choose between a liquid, a paste, a wax and a cream according to your preferences :

1- Liquid Renovating Balm AVEL cleans, nourishes, protects but also re-colours. Available in 18 shades. Its presentation makes it the product most easy to use.It is recommended for recent leathers without scratches and little or not discolored. For mat leather choose the Mat Leather Balm. 

2- Renovating Balm Paste AVEL cleans, nourishes and protects. Available in neutral only. High wax content, adapted for shiny leather.

3- Leather Care Wax Spray AVEL cleans and nourishes. Very practical for braided or perforated leather.

4- Cream Renovator AVEL cleans, nourishes, protects, and re-colours. Available in 20 shades. Product with the strongest re-colouring power, high concentration of pigments, very rich in waxes ( which gives best results for garnishing scratches). Recommended for leather from 5-15 years of age which begin to show scratches and discolorations.If necessary, complete with Saphir Renovating Cream, see below.
These products can be easily applied with one of the Cotton Cloths or, even better, with Cotton Stock Louis XIII, while protecting your hands with Black Nitrile Rubber Gloves. 

Remarks :
- Afterwards, shine with a Shining Glove VALMOUR. 
- To finish, we strongly recommend to protect your leather with  Anti-Stain Leather Spray AVEL against foods stains, deposit of sebum on the headrest and dirt. 
- If your leather is not discoloured, choose one of these products in neutral.
- If you want to refresh the colour of your leather, and in case of light discoloration, choose  Liquid Renovating Balm AVEL or Renovating Cream AVEL in the corresponding colour.
- In case of deep scratches, use Renovating Cream SAPHIR.
