This is a delicate operation and depends on the original colour of your leather and on the colour you want to obtain. We cannot guarantee the result, in particular if you want to change from a dark colour to a light one. This procedure requires  complete stripping and the result is delicate concerning the uniform aspect of the colour.
On the other hand, a colour change from light to dark is much less risky. Test on a hidden part (use our product packaging in small contents). We recommend the following steps:

1- Cleaning :  It is important to work on leather which is perfectly clean. To begin with, eliminate all traces of sebum which accumulates on a steering wheel everytime you use it with the Stain Remover HUSSARD Spray Leather and Textile.

Afterwards, rinse thoroughly to eliminate any product residue and then clean all other traces of dirt by washing your leather with Cleaning Regenerating Soap AVEL. Avoid the use of Marseille Soap because of its high caustic soda content, to the contrary of the Cleaning Regenerating Soap which has been developed  specifically for leather care with the participation of the Technical Center for Leather. It will be of good use for the future care of your car leather.
2- Preparation : with the help of the Stripper Saphir which allows the liquid dye Teinture Française liquide to perfectly attach to and penetrate the leather.
3 -Dyeing : Apply a first coat of Teinture Française Liquid with the help of the Foam Pad Applicator (furnished with the 50 ml container) or with a Paint Brush. After drying, wipe with  a Shamois Cotton Cloth to remove the surplus and eliminate all dry non-impregnated colour particles. On light coloured leather, apply a second coat if necessary.
Average use approx. 50 ml per steering wheel.
4- Finishing : liquid dye has a tendency to dry up the leather. and frequently brings about colour discharge, therefore a finishing treatment is essential, to embellish and protect the leather and prevent colour discharge.
Apply Juvacuir Dye in one or two coats.

Remarks :
- Because of the constraints steering wheels are subjected to : rubbing, transpiration, we advise against the use of spray dyes or aqueous dyes.

Afterwards use Cleaning Regenerating Soap and Cream Renovator in the colour of your leather for every day care of your steering wheel as well as for the leather seats of your car. Let dry and polish with a Polishing Grove. For increased protection, finish by applying Anti-Stain Leather Spray AVEL.
