To care for Belgian blue stone ( floor, fireplace, barbecue etc...) Valmour recommends to start by protecting it, and afterwards proposes a traditional or an innovative way of everyday care.

First, protect your stones with Tile Protector Impregnator LOUIS XIII.
- Easy application, does not modify the appearance of your floor and perfectly protects against water, wine, coffee stains etc....
- apply 2 coats for permanent protection !
- Apply on a clean, dry and grease-less stone. If necessary, consult our advice card Stone Floor Cleaning, Stripping or Stain Removing

Afterwards, we recommend 2 ranges for usual care :

1 - Traditonal Range :
Patina Tile Wax LOUIS XIII gives a warm and patinated aspect to the stone. Based on wax, apply regularly with a floorcloth or a squeezy on a water-repellent floor (treated with the Impregnator). Shine with an old wool jumper. Available in 4 colours with light colouring effect. In the beginning, it is necessary to apply several coats to obtain a waxed appearance.
Afterwards, regularly wash your floor with Real Black Soap with Linseed Oil LOUIS XIII . Use without rinsing.

2 - Innovative Range
Varnishing Emulsion AVEL protects  your stone and makes it shine. Apply about once a year. Scratch resistant, this emulsion protects against oil stains, wine, water... Easy application with a floorcloth , quick-drying. One light application gives a waxed, 2 applications a shiny appearance. Wash floors regularly cared for with the Emulsion AVEL with Metallic Wax Shampoo AVEL. It has been developed especially to complement the emulsion. Use diluted and do not rinse.

In short, if you want
1 - a shiny appearance : choose Emulsion AVEL + Metallic Polishing Shampoo.
2 - a patinated non shiny appearance: choose Patina Tile Wax LOUIS XIII + the Real Black Soap Louis XIII.
