To re-colour your suede or nubuck leather clothing, Valmour recommends to proceed in 3 steps :

1- To begin with,if necessary  thoroughly clean the leather and remove all stains.  we recommend to at least brush your leather item with the Cleaning Sponge Suede Nubuck Saphir to eliminate the dust and to straighten up the velvety surface of the leather.
If the item of clothing is very dirty, use Suede and Nubuck Cleaner OMNIDAIM Saphir and the Oval Horesehair Brush Saphir for in-depth cleaning. After drying, use a Cleaning Sponge Suede Nubuck to take off any shine.

2- If the colour of your  leather shows strong discolorations, Valmour recommends the use of Teinture Française Aux Drapeaux Liquid. Apply with a Brush.
This dye is very penetrating and serves as a base for the following step.
If your velvety leather (suede or nubuck) absorbs the dye too fast to permit a uniform application, it is possible to use a spray gun or a 2 L Pressure Duster.
Test before on a hidden part and check if there's any colour discharge after drying ( 3 hours) with the help of a Cotton Cloth.
Afterwards, take off the shine with the Cleaning Sponge Suede Nubuck Saphir.
This step is unnecessary if you regularly follow step 3, or if your piece of clothing is only lightly discoloured.

3- For regular care and a repigmentation of your leather at the same time, we recommend the use of Rénovetine Saphir Spray. This product is available in various colours, to spray onto the leather by successive short pressings. It also serves as finish if you have followed step 2.

We recommend to always test the products before on a hidden part of your leather.
