Suede leather, like suede or nubuck, is a sporty but chic material, but it has the disadvantage of inevitable wear and tear. The various stains that occur cannot always be removed easily and the solution is sometimes to change the colour of the shoes to hide them. This can be done, but always in a darker shade
Valmour recommends to proceed in 4 steps :

1- To begin with, thoroughly clean the leather and remove all stains. Use Suede and Nubuck Cleaner Omnidaim for cleaning, or consult the advice card " Care For Your Suede Leather Shoes".

2- Afterwards, it is possible to change the colour of your shoes. Valmour recommends the use of Teinture Française Aux Drapeaux Liquide. Easy application with a Brush. On velvety leather, it is often necessary to apply two coats. If your velvety leather (suede or nubuck) absorbs the dye too fast to s permit a uniform application, it is possible to use a spray gun or a 2 L Duster.
Test on a hidden part and check the absence of colour discharge with a cloth after drying (3 hours) .

3- To prevent the drying out of Suede leather under the effect of the dye and to reliminate any lustre, we recommend to brush it with the Cleaning Sponge Suede Nubuck SAPHIR.

4- To finish, use Rénovétine SAPHIR Spray, which also helps to intensify the colour obtained and is used for regular care afterwards. In case of colour discharge after these operations, use the Stop Color Saphir.

Special case:

If the suede leather is too worn and the peach skin aspect has disappeared irreparably, you can take advantage of this to transform them into smooth leather. In this case the finishing is not done with the Rénovétine Saphir described above but with a wax-rich polish such as the Cirage Pâte de Luxe Saphir in the same shade or almost the same shade as the Teinture Française Saphir used to change the colour before

We always recommend to test before on a hidden part.
