Valmour proposes several solutions for repairing either small holes (wood worm holes, small splinters...) or more important holes. Before filling them in again, treat worm holes with XENOL LOUIS XIII liquid or spray to eliminate the worms.

1- Filling in small holes (worm holes, cracks, splinters...) :

For waxed wood or wood intended to be waxed, choose the Wax Filler LOUIS XIII in the final shade you want to obtain, preferably in a darker tone than the stain of your wood. Soften the wax in your hands, under hot tap water or close to a radiator. position the wax stick next to the hole needing to be filled in and push in part of the wax with a Mastic Knife. Scrape off thoroughly to eliminate the surplus. To improve wax penetration, warm up the filled-in spot with a hair dryer before scraping off the surplus.

For varnished wood and wood intended to be varnished, use the Gum Laquer Filler LOUIS XIII in the final shade you want to obtain. Melt part of it with a soldering iron or with a heated screw driver. Then fill in the hole, let set, do not wipe. take off the surplus by sanding with fine Glass Paper 180.

2 - To repaire large holes and cracks, use the Wood Paste LOUIS XIII.
