Renovating a Varnished / Sealed Floor

Once a sealed/varnished floor shows signs of wear, it becomes necessary at one point to sand it down to the raw wood and to re-varnish/seal it. This being very tedious work, Valmour proposes another more modern and efficient solution to renovate your worn varnished/sealed floor.


1 - Cleaning :

First of all, if necessary, take the precaution to thoroughly clean your wood floor with Wax Remover LOUIS XIII, in particular if your floor is very dirty. It has to be clean, greaseless and thoroughly dry for the following steps.


2 - Renovation :

Afterwards, apply one or two coats of Varnishing Emulsion Wood Floors AVEL. The second coat will increase the shine. This modern aqueous formula is very easy to use and will perfectly renovate your floor and conserve the natural appearance of the wood instead of altering it like a varnish.

Before the first application , it is recommended to prepare the floor with Emulsion Stripper to neutralize its Ph and thereby make the emulsion "attach" perfectly.


3 - Care :

For usual care, use Metallic Wax Shampoo Wood Floors AVEL, pure ore diluted, which permits to wash your floor whenever necessary while strenthening the emulsion instead of damaging it like classic detergents. Choose the dosage according to the degree of shine you want. This is an economical solution which allows you to apply the Varnishing Emulsion less frequently.
