Brass Care

To care for your brass objects, Valmour proposes several products: choose according to the the degree of oxidation of the brass surface you want to maintain:

- Eau Fortis LOUIS XIII and Copper Brass Bronze Deoxidizer LOUIS XIII are very powerful deoxidizing products. Afterwards, use MECANO Copper Cleaner LOUIS XIII below to shine.

In case of light oxidation, opt for MECANO Metal Cleaner Louis XIII from the beginning.

- MECANO Metal Cleaner LOUIS XIII is a very efficient traditional product which gives an incomparable shine after rubbing and the longest-lasting result. Available in various packaging sizes: 125, 250, 500 ml and 1 liter.

- Polishing Putty LOUIS XIII and AVEL Copper, Brass, Bronze are very easy to use products, and already efficient by simple contact. Odourless, no dirty hands. Packaging  250 ml.

- Mouss'ORKA Copper Brass Bronze Cleaner is also very efficient and easy to use with its sponge for application included in the packaging. Odourless, no dirty hands.
Small packaging of 125 ml.
Apply these products with the help of Polishing Cotton or with Steel Wool Louis XIII 0000 if the metal is very oxidized or dirty. Afterwards, shine with a Chamois Cotton Cloth.

For longer lasting protection of your objects, use Varnish CRISTAL LOUIS XIII.

In short: if your copper is very oxidized, use one of the first 2 products to start with. For maintenace, choose MECANO for degree of shine and last, or the following 2 products for their easy but efficient use

Remarks :
Afterwards it is possible to use Cristal Varnish Louis XIII, a ready-to use monocomponent acrylic varnish based on plexiglass, to increase protection.It also exists in aerosol: Vernis Cristal Louis XIII Aerosol, or even better our Protection Varnish OMNIVERNIS Valmour, a bi-component polyurethane formula.
