Gilding on Metal

For professionals and well-informed connoisseurs, we propose Gilt Leaves OXEBO Louis XIII made of copper alloy.

But there are other more simple solutions with 2 types of products:

- TOLEMAIL Gilt Paint for large surfaces. This is a professional paint giving a perfect result due to its very specialized formula.

- Gilding Varnish LOUIS XIII, which has great covering power and gives a beautiful shine without trace of brush stroke thanks to its extreme fluidity. Also available in 1 liter cans, in a supplementary colour "antique gold".

To add more depth and sheen to a new surface, begin by applying a coat of Red Gilding Primer LOUIS XIII ( to choose amongst the colours of the Gilding Varnish).

Once the coat of primer is dry, shake the bottle of Gilding Varnish LOUIS XIII to homogenize the content and apply with a soft Brush.

Afterwards, use Gilding Wax to patinate the Gilding Varnish.

Remarks :

Afterwards, to protect the gilded surface, in particular if it is situated on the exterior, and to prolong its last choose one of the following products:

Apply either Cristal Varnish Louis XIII, see below (a plexiglass-based acrylic varnish) or OMNIVARNISH

(a bicomponent polyurethane varnish, professional formula) for superior protection.
