To polish wood panelling, we propose to proceed according to the following 2 methods:
- Traditional method :
1 - If necessary, first prepare the surface to recover the raw wood. Remove wax from waxed panelling with Wax and Dirt Remover Louis XIII or strip varnished panelling with Wood Cabinet Stripper Louis XIII. Then stain with Woodwork Stain Louis XIII.
2 - Afterwards, apply Acrylic Wood Finish Louis XIII to protect and fix the stain. Apply on raw stained or unstained wood.
3 - Afterwards, to polish your wood panelling and to improve the result, we recommend to apply Patina Gum Lacquer Louis XIII : it enhances the wood grain, strengthens protection and diminishes the wax quantity necessary to obtain a waxed-patinated effect.
Finally, apply Tinting Polish Louis XIII ( use a Brush to apply the liquid or Cotton Wick Louis XIII to apply the paste).
Finish by polishing with the Natural Horsehair Brush Saphir to give shine.
- Modern Method :
To carry out all of the above operations in one step, use the Anti Spot Wood Stain AVEL. This product (which is also available in neutral) stains and protects your panelling at the same time. Odourless, easy application, quick drying.
