Genuine wax-containing gum lacquer flakes.
Stemming from the resinous secretions of an insect member of the coccidae family, this purified animal resin has been in use for more than 4000 years. An excellent bonding agent, it is renowned for the traditional manufacturing of fine and resistant varnishes (French polish, for example), thanks to its excellent solvent solubility.
Remarks :
- Can be used for various other purposes, like the glueing of racing tyres used by track cyclists.
