AdviceStaining PanellingValmour suggests the following 2 solutions for staining your panelling:
1 - The easy way: the Woodwork Stain LOUIS XIII is the ideal product to stain wood in warm and natural tones. Easy application with a supple Brush. Finish by lighly sanding with Steel Wool LOUIS XIII N° 0000. It is possible to mix the various shades. Quick drying.
2 - The most economical : Nut Husk LOUIS XIII is a wood stain used extensively by the professionals. All the variations of walnut and oak shades can be obtained by simply diluting with water. Apply evenly with Cotton Wick LOUIS XIII or with a large Brush. After application of one or two coats, let dry for approx 6 hours, then finish by lighly sanding with Steel Wool LOUIS XIII N°0000 or with Glasspaper 180. The more you dilute the product and multiply the coats, the better the result. Professionals usually apply 3 to 4 coats.
In all cases, apply Insulating Wood Finish LOUIS XIII afterwards for fixing the wood stain and for protection.
Remarks : We also propose modern products which allow to combine several operations with the application of one product: - with Anti Spot Wood Stain Louis XIII you can stain the wood and give it a satiny stain-proof finish in one opeation. - COLORECIR will stain and wax the wood in one operation.
