AdviceSilverware CareTo care for silverware, Valmour proposes several products corresponding to different actions:
1 - Cleaning and Shining:
- The Mouss'ORKA Net Silver and the AVEL Silverware are very efficient and easy to use products for every day care, to clean and shine your silverware in one operation without needing to rub. The first is delivered with an application sponge. Both products contain deoxidizing agents which prolong the intervals between maintanance.
- Also a product to care for your silverware, Prim Silver LOUIS XIII permits cleaning, caring and shining without any risk thanks to an abrasive grain similar to toothpaste, which helps to eliminate superficial scratches and to repolish. Apply with a soft Cloth.
- For a 100 % natural solution, clean your silverware with a mixture of Meudon Whiting LOUIS XIII and water (1 volume for 3 volumes of water), to give a brighter and longer-lasting shine to the metal.
To protect silver objects not intended for food contact and to prolong the intervals between maintenance, use Varnish CRISTAL Metal LOUIS XIII.
2 - Resilvering:
- To reinforce the silver layer of an object, use Cold Silver LOUIS XIII. The result is food-compatible. Begin by cleaning thoroughly and soften any existing scratches ( see below).
3 - Eliminating Scratches:
- On solid silver, if the scratches are important, use MECANO LOUIS XIII to soften them. This product contains an abrasive component, so proceed with care to prevent the creation of additional scratches. Be particularly careful in case of thinly silverplated objects. Apply with a soft Cloth.
- In case of light scratches, opt for Shining Putty LOUIS XIII. Apply with Cotton Wick LOUIS XIII in circular movements. Let dry, then shine with a Chamois Cotton Cloth.
