Re-colouring a Leather Desk

To renovate the leather surface of a desk, or a leather desk blotter, Valmour recommends the following products :

- Preparation :

. To begin with, make sure that your leather is clean, greaseless and dry. Clean with the Regenerating Soap AVEL, and , if necessary, use the Stain Remover Hussard Spray in case of sebum stains.

. Afterwards, prepare the leather withe the Stripper Saphir to help the liquid dye Teinture Française liquide penetrate and attach perfectly.

- Repigmentation :

. If the leather is decorated with gilded motives (as it is often the case around the edges), use the Teinture Française Liquid. This formula can be applied without any risk because it won't stay on the gilded motives. As the dye will slightly dry the leather, we also recommend to complete the treatment with the Juvacuir to make the colour uniform and obtain a shiny appearance.

- If the leather does not include gilded motives and is just lightly discolored, the Juvacuir will be sufficient.
