We propose a professional high performance system based on bi-component paint.
1- PREPARATION :
. To begin with, make sure that the surface to be treated is clean by brushing it with the Bronze Brush LOUIS XIII. Avoid sandblasting, but eliminate all traces of grease on the surface with the DILUVAL Thinner below.
. Afterwards, pickle the surface with our Acid Solution for Metal VALMOUR. This product will prepare galvanized steel in particular to be painted with the following products. It also perfectly cleans the surface to be painted, and can be applied even on rust.
. To prevent any increase of residual rust, apply the STOP RUST Converter.
Remarks : On galvanized steel, we do not recommend the WASH PRIMER because it doesn't protect against corrosion and would therefore make it necessary to apply an appropriate primer afterwards. Use for aluminium, stainless steel, ...
2- FINISHING :
Lastly, depending on the appearance you want to obtain and your budget, choose the finishing paint according to the following criteria:
. Shiny finish : use the OMNILACQUER Paint VALMOUR, which is particularly resistant against bad weather conditions. This professional bi-component polyurethane lacquer is ideal for surfaces exposed to bad weather conditions, in particular in a marine environment. To begin with, apply a coat of ANTIRUST EPOXY PRIMER VALMOUR everywhere you are going to paint to increase the hold of the OMNILAQUER finishing paint. This primer also protects against corrosion, which is essential, even if your galvanized steel is not oxidized.
Afterwards, you can complete the finishing by adding a protective varnish to increase the life of the paint, and thereby prolonging the intervals between renovation.
Apply the OMNIVARNISH , which is available in shiny, satiny and mat, the latter 2 versions allowing you to dim the shine of the Omnilacquer.
This is the most expensive solution, but also the one giving the result of the highest quality.
. Satiny finish: with the TOLEMAIL Special Ironwork. This monocomponent anti-corrosion paint can be applied without a primer.
. Matt finish: with the Triple Mat FLAMBO, an oil-based monocomponent paint for all surfaces. For better hold and protection, apply the Anti Rust Primer VALMOUR before.
