Valmour recommends several products to care for your marble floors :
1- Cleaning :
To recover a marble floor encrusted by other previously applied products, use the Emulsion Stripper AVEL with a scrubbing brush. If the floor is very dirty and resists, try the Wax and Dirt Remover Louis XIII. (test before on a hidden part).
- Eliminate other stains (calcareous for example) with the Marble Polisher Louis XIII and the Varnish and Wax Applicator Pad Louis XIII.
2- Protection :
Afterwards, to protect your marble floor which might be porous and therefore stain easily, we recommend water-proofing it with a product adapted for this particular material. Choose the Terrazo Sealer, and in particular the yellow formula which is intended for the low porosity of marble( in comparison to terra cotta, for example) to obtain perfect protection while giving your floor a beautiful wet appearance and intensifying its colours. For easy everyday care, use the Real Black Soap with Linseed Oil afterwards.
3- Embellishing :
- After protecting your marble with the Terrazo Sealer (see step 2), you can increase the shine with the help of the Foriver, then use the Wash and Wax for usual cleaning, which is a by-product of the Emulsion with addition of a detergent. This allows easy maintenance without altering the Foriver.
- If you choose not to waterproof your marble floor with Terrazo Sealer, you can directly apply the Varnishing Emulsion Marble AVEL, which will give a wet appearance to your floor: waxed with the application of one coat and shiny with 2 coats. Test before to decide which result you prefer. Afterwards, regularly care for your marble floor which has been embellished with the Emulsion with the Metallic Wax Shampoo AVEL, which you dilute in water and which doesn't need rinsing.
