AdviceEliminating Scratches and Cracks on a Leather SofaTo remove light scratches caused by a cat (for example) or to improve the aspect of important scratches, Valmour recommends several products : First, make sure that your leather is completely clean and grease-free with the help of the Cleaning Regenerating Soap AVEL. This is as important as washing your hands before applying a cream! Then apply a product according to the following cases : 1- If the scratches are superficial, apply one of the balms listed below, which we propose in 4 versions (liquid, paste, wax and cream according to your preference) :
Based on mink oil and beeswax, these products renovate and nourish the leather, eliminate scratches and avoid tearing and toughening of the leather. Some have light dyeing faculties.
2- In case of deeper (but not too numerous) scratches leaving the leather bare, opt for the Renovating Cream Saphir. It is a very covering concentrate of pigments, ideal for a localized touch up.
3- In case of many deep scratches, choose the Pigmenting Cream AVEL and its Fixing Spray which re-pigments your leather in-depth, as if it were new. This method is more expensive but gives fantastic results. The colour of the dye can be made-to-order.
Afterwards, we strongly recommend to protect your leather with the Anti-Stain Leather Spray AVEL against foods stains, sebum deposit on headrests and dirt. © 2008 - All rights reserved Valmour
