Changing the Colour of Crocodile/Reptile Leather

To change the colour of crocodile or reptile leather, proceed according to the following steps:

1- Leather preparation :

The leather has to be perfectly clean, greaseless and dry. If necessary eliminate dust with the Natural Horsehair Brush, and afterwards use Cleaning Regenerating Soap, which is formulated without solvent for perfect in-depth cleaning without damaging the finish.

2- Colour Change :

Use Liquid Dye Teinture Française to add the new colour. Apply this very penetrating formula with a Brush or with the Foam Applicator Pad ( included with the 50 ml bottles). Depending on the original leather and its initial colour, several coats might be necessary, up to three or four.

3- Finish :

Afterwards, fix the dye with Varnish Rife. Apply with a cotton cloth, or use the spray, then let dry.

To obtain a typical vanished appearance, finish by spraying with Finishing Varnish Tenax Spray.

For a medium size handbag you'll need the following products :

- 1 Cleaning Regenerating Soap 100ml

- 1 bottle of Liquid Dye Teinture Française 50 ml per coat

- 1 bottle of Varnish Rife 100 ml or 1 Varnish Rife Spray

- 1 Finishing Varnish Tenax Spray
