Caring for your furniture depends of the type of their finishing :
1- Waxed furniture :
For regular care, use the Cleaning Lotion AVEL.
Afterwards, Valmour recommends to alternate the use of Old Fashioned Liquid Polish LOUIS XIII and The Antiquarian's Patina AVEL (2 pastes for 1 liquid) which you can apply with Cottonstock LOUIS XIII. Their strong cleaning and nourishing power protects and shines the wood.
To obtain an incomparable patina thanks to its colouring power, favour Tinting Paste Polish which is available in 7 shades and also as a liquid, and leaves a pleasant scent of days gone by thanks to the turpentine.
If the piece of furniture is very dirty, or before renewing the wax, use Wax & Dirt Remover Louis XIII.
2- Furniture with French Polishing :
Use the Cleaning Lotion AVEL for everyday care.
From time to time, apply Oil Varnish LOUIS XIII. Very pure and fluid, it cleans and nourishes the varnish without dirtying it.
If the varnish is deteriorated (tarnished or scratched), use Patina Renovator AVEL which can also be applied on bronze handles.
3- Varnished furniture (other finishes) :
Valmour strongly recommends to use The Antiquarian's Patina AVEL. Its strong cleaning and nourishing power protects the wood and adds shine.
Also use AVEL Cleaning Lotion and, from time to time, Varnish Oil LOUIS XIII. Very pure and fluid, it cleans and nourishes the varnish without dirtying it.
To renovate damaged varnishes, you can also use Patina Renovator AVEL below.
For a more colouring renovation, choose Wood Renewer TRIANON, see below.
4- White-leaded furniture :
Use The Antiquarian's Patina AVEL. Its strong cleaning and nourishing power protects the wood, adds shine and leaves a pleasant scent of long ago due to the turpentine.
5- Oiled Furniture :
Use AVEL Cleaning Lotion.
