Suede leather is a very fragile material and sensitive to bad weather conditions.
The term "suede" refers to skins tanned with fish oil or velvety skins obtained by sanding.
It requires particular care :
1- Everyday Care :
Regular care for suede leather shoes includes a brushing and protection.
- Brush with the Brass Brush Saphir or the Cleaning Sponge Suede SAPHIR if the leather is thin and fragile. For protection, waterproof with Suede Renovator SAPHIR MEDAILLE D'OR Spray, which can be applied in neutral or in the same colour to recolour your shoes or to slightly darken the leather. For a larger choice of colors, you can also use Rénovétine SAPHIR Spray below.
Renovetine is also available in a version with Applicator( for orders dispatched by airplane).
- For waterproofing action only, use Super INVULNER MEDAILLE D'OR.
- From time to time, a serious in-depth cleaning is recommended, it's frequency depending on the use of the shoes, of course. Use Multicleaner SAPHIR MEDAILLE D'OR, a product specially formulated for suede leather maintenance, to clean in-depth while respecting the characteristics of suede, and therefore being more adapted and efficient than Marseilles soap, for example.
2- Stain-removing:
- Non greasy stains can be removed with Multicleaner SAPHIR MEDAILLE D'OR and/or the Super Gommadin MEDAILLE D'Or.
- If the stain is greasy, Terre de Sommières AVEL will help you to absorb most of it (if it is dry, cover with an absorbent paper and warm up with an iron to take off the maximum). Use Stain Remover HUSSARD Spray Leather and Textile to eliminate residue of fresh still liquid greasy stains or sebum (greasy secretion of the skin).
- For snow, salt, water and transpiration stains, use Stain-Remover Hiver Winter SAPHIR .
